As wildfires continue to burn in Canada, the Great Lakes region is seeing thick smog and record high air quality issues caused by smoke from the blazes. Swaths across Canada, particularly in the Quebec province, began battling fires weeks ago. So far, more than 9 million acres of land have burned and over20,000 people have evacuated, Canadian officials said.

Despite an unprecedented year for many retail categories, consumer demand for soft drinks sees just a marginal decrease in purchase likelihood from 2019 to 2020 and weekly consumption of soft drinks held steady across many types of drinks during the same period.
